This song was created by the band’s lead singer, Noel Gallagher but the one singing is his brother Liam. The concept of this video is based on the 60’s film called “Wonderwall – from Psychedelia to Surrealism” Starring Jane Birkin. She lives next door to a man who becomes fascinated with her, so he slowly makes holes in his wall so he can watch her through it. This is the "Wonderwall." The movie did not get good critics. When the song was released, it was understanded to be about Noel’s then Girlfriend Meg Mathews (who he later married and divorced), it was thought to be a “love” song, where the man was confused wether he should break up or not with this woman. This song strongly shows the limits between love and obsesion towards someone and how love can “save” someones life. Noel says about the song “The meaning of that song was taken away from me by the media who jumped on it. And how do you tell your Mrs. it's not about her once she's read it is? It's about an imaginary friend who's going to come and save you from yourself."
