Gravity - Sara Bareilles

The reason why I chose this song/video is quite simple: She is my favorite singer/songwriter, I picked the live version of the song because it's part of the magic of it, the talent of the artist performing live was what captivated me in the first place, and then came the lyrics and so on...I fell in love with it from the first moment I heard it.
This song was written and composed by Sara Bareilles, for me what makes it attractive to the audience is the melody, her voice, the lyrics...pretty much the whole package that comes with a powerful interpretation that makes you relate to the artist, makes you feel what the artist is expressing. This song could be interpreted in many ways, it's clearly for a loved one but who that person is, is left unsaid for us to fill in. For example, I remember watching a video of a church choir in which they dedicated this song to God.
Basically this song is about feeling sort of trapped or captivated by someone and not being able to let go, it's about wanting to be released from that feeling and just not being capable of it. It's when another person has this "power" over us and we can't fight against it, so yes, it's about love represented as an unstoppable force that can't be avoided. That's the message of the song and I think that a lot of people can relate to it.
